Maison Galhaud

  Maison Galhaud is located in the center of Saint-Emilion, historical wine producing area. The Romans planted vineyards in what was to become Saint-Émilion as early as the 2nd century. The town was named after the monk Émilion, who settled in the area in the 8th century. The monks started the commercial wine production. In the mid-1800s, the growth of the wine trade brought a new prosperity to the region. Léon Galhaud founded the family business in Saint- Emilion in 1901.
